DRAFT HOLDOUTS SIGN

The two pitching gems of the Shoeless Joe S8 Amateur Draft finally came to terms with their respective teams.

NEWEST REBEL

Anderson Moss is a huge talent, there's no doubting that. No need to tell him either, he's well aware. So much so, that he upped his bonus request. Moss threatened to holdout the entire season, if need be. Six days later, Moss signed his name on the dotted line. Jackson and Moss finally agreed on a $6.8M bonus, and he reported straight to Jackson's High A club. First start of the season: 6 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 9 K. He's a big time talent, folks.

MONTGOMERY'S FUTURE "HOFer"

We heard about this guy way before the draft. A guy named "Shin" who some people proclaimed as a future HOFer. Big words spoken about an 18 year old. Scouts flocked to Inglewood, CA to see Hideki Shin, and they came away more than impressed. Shin fells to #4, scaring some teams away due to the possibility of not signing. However, Montgomery couldn't let Shin go. Shin was considering college, and it was a realistic option. However, when he saw the cash Montgomery was offering, college was the last thing on his mind. Shin signed for a $5.6M bonus, and is now in rookie league. Shin is raw, but the potential is there. He needs seasoning, but when he's ready, look out!
