The Philadelphia Cheese Steaks acquired SP Terrell McCartin from the defending champion Santa Fe Santa Clauses today. McCartin upgrades the Cheese Steaks' pitching staff, as he combines with fellow SP Paul LeCroy to create one of the world's best 1-2 starting tandems.

In return, Santa Fe obtains 2B Ewell Bierbrodt, among others. Bierbrodt is a virtual lock for 45+ HR and 100+ RBIs a season, and he should thrive playing his home games in Santa Fe. Santa Fe also gets 3B Tom Rivers in the deal.
